Telehealth provides a critical pathway to realize this vision.
RHITES (Reproductive Health Initiative for Telehealth Equity & Solutions) was founded in October 2022, in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and the overturn of Roe v. Wade to meet the increasing need for telehealth medication abortion to be realized at scale.
Technology changes the way health care is delivered, including abortion care. This expansion comes with the responsibility to address barriers. RHITES ensures that telehealth medication abortion reduces, rather than entrenches current disparities.
Specifically, RHITES works to ensure that as telehealth policies develop, their impact centers populations with the least access to abortion care.
